Windows 2K is supplied on CD-Rom. The CD is also a bootable entity. You can also download the bootable floppy disks.

OPTION 1 – Boot From Windows 2000 CD

1) Change your boot priorities in your system bios to CD-Rom first

2) Insert Windows 2K CD-Rom and save bios settings and exit

3) 2000 will automatically boot if your hard drive is blank, otherwise you will get a prompt on screen for a few seconds saying "Press any key to boot from CD" at that point hit a key 

   

  OPTION 2 – Boot From Floppy Drive and Windows 2000 CD

1) Download floppy boot disks from here:

Windows Professional 2000 Boot Disk from here 

Windows 2000 Server Boot Disk from here 

2) Create Boot Disks. And label them.

3) Insert first floppy disk into drive and reboot computer. 

4) 2000 install will begin automatically boot if your hard drive is blank, otherwise you will get a prompt on screen for a few seconds saying "Press any key to boot from CD" at that point hit a key
