versions of 98 where supplied on CD-Rom and with a Windows boot disk
that contains CD-Rom Drivers. The CD’s where also bootable.

OPTION 1 – Boot From
Windows 98 CD
1)
Change your boot priorities in your system bios to CD-Rom first
2)
Insert Windows 98 CD-Rom and save bios settings and exit
3)
Insert first floppy disk into drive and reboot computer.
4)
Select Setup Windows 98 from the next menu.
5)
Follow on screen instructions
OPTION 2 – Boot From Floppy Drive and Windows 98
1)
Download floppy boot disks from here:

98 1st Edition Boot Disk from here
Windows
98 2nd Edition Boot Disk from here
2)
Create Boot Disk. And label it
3)
Insert first floppy disk into drive and reboot computer.
4)
Select Setup Windows 98 from the next menu.
5)
Follow on screen instructions
