Microsoft Windows XP Professional

Windows XP Professional is supplied on CD-Rom. The CD is also a bootable entity. You can also download the bootable floppy disks.

OPTION 1 – Boot From Windows XP CD

1) Change your boot priorities in your system bios to CD-Rom first

2) Insert Windows XP Professional CD-Rom and save bios settings and exit

3) Windows XP Professional will automatically boot if your hard drive is blank, otherwise you will get a prompt on screen for a few seconds saying "Press any key to boot from CD" at that point hit a key 

   

  OPTION 2 – Boot From Floppy Drive and Windows XP Professional CD

1) Download floppy boot disks from here:

Windows Professional XP Service Pack 1a Boot Disk from here 

Windows Professional XP Service Pack 2 Boot Disk from here 

2) Create Boot Disks. And label them.

3) Insert first floppy disk into drive and reboot computer. 

4) The Windows XP Professional install will begin automatically boot if your hard drive is blank, otherwise you will get a prompt on screen for a few seconds saying "Press any key to boot from CD" at that point hit a key 

5) Follow on screen instructions
