Microsoft Windows ME

 

All versions of ME where supplied on CD-Rom and with a Windows boot disk that contains CD-Rom Drivers. The CD’s where also bootable.

Boot from CD instructions - Boot from floppy drive instructions

  

OPTION 1 – Boot From Windows ME CD

1) Change your boot priorities in your system bios to CD-Rom first

2) Insert Windows ME CD-Rom and save bios settings and exit

3) Insert first floppy disk into drive and reboot computer. 

4) Select Setup Windows ME from the next menu.

5) Follow on screen instructions 

   

  OPTION 2 – Boot From Floppy Drive and Windows ME

1) Download floppy boot disks from here:

Windows ME Boot Disk from here 

2) Create Boot Disk. And label it

3) Insert first floppy disk into drive and reboot computer. 

4) Select Setup Windows ME from the next menu.

5) Follow on screen instructions
